Please note we are
private keepers who maintain a small collection of snakes.
We do however occasionally sell any surplus livestock that
we don't need for ourselves. In that event, the following
Terms & Conditions of Sale shall apply to these
sales. By placing an order with John Berry Reptiles you
agree to the following terms and conditions of sale:
a) We reserve the right NOT to sell any
livestock to anyone we don’t believe will properly care for it.
b) We will NOT sell any livestock to anyone
under 16 years of age. If you are under 16, your parents or
legal guardian can purchase the livestock for you, if they
would like to. They must however ensure you know how to
properly care for it.
c) You have researched the livestocks
requirements and are aware of its needs & husbandry.
We will gladly advise you on husbandry care
both before and after any purchase, we are however NOT
responsible if you have can’t properly care for any
livestock
you purchase from us (that's the whole point of clauses a, b
& c)
d) You are legally allowed to own the animal.
Its your responsibility to ensure you are legally allowed to
own any livestock you purchase from us.
We guarantee all of our livestock to be healthy
and feeding (unless stated otherwise).
Payment: We accept cash / cheque/
postal order, Direct bank transfer or Paypal. Payments by
cheque MUST be cleared before livestock can be delivered /
collected. Payment by paypal requires 4% extra to cover the
fees we are charged.
In all cases payment must be received in full
before anything will be dispatched and all livestock remain the
property of John Berry Reptiles until fully paid for (this
also applies to payment plans).
Deliveries: All livestock can be
delivered (at cost) or collected by prior agreement. Our
preferred method of delivery is by certified animal
couriers. (We DO NOT send animals via the Royal mail or
postal couriers, so
please don’t ask!!).
Collections are possible with prior
arrangement, we can meet you within 30 minutes travel of
Bristol. Due to the current illegal threats by 'animal
rights nuts',
viewing our facility or breeding stock is not possible
(unless we know you personally), however, we are willing to
provide photos to potential purchasers.
If you want to receive your livestock by
courier, someone must be home to receive and sign for the
delivery. We cannot be held responsible if you are not there
to take delivery. Please note, we will not ship an livestock in
either extreme hot or cold weather. If we are concerned
about the weather we will inform you before cancelling and
re-scheduling shipment.
Shipment options include:
-
Licensed animal courier who charge £45.00 (this is
our preferred option) and £75.00 to Scotland.
European deliveries: We are able to
deliver livestock via licensed animal courier to most European
reptile shows. (inquire for further details)
Hatchlings: A 10% deposit will secure
any of the surplus livestock we are expecting to hatch. These will be
accepted on a 'first come, first served basis' and are NON
REFUNDABLE unless we do not produce the livestock you want.
In that case we will either credit your deposit or allow you
to choose something else of the same or greater value. Once
the surplus livestock is born we expect the remainder of the payment
within 30 days unless a payment plan has been agreed.
Payment Plans: are available on some
livestock. A 30% NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required to start a
payment plan with the remaining amount payable in regular
monthly payments over 60 to 90 days. Any sale not paid in
full is considered a payment plan sale.
If you change your mind once you have started a
payment plan, we may at our discretion, credit your payments
towards another snake of the same or greater value.
